I have had opportunity these last few months to work with Clara in her role as Integration Architect at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness Florida. Clara is an excellent Integration Architect. She skillfully facilitates crucial conversation between the Cerner and client teams, and helps drive to important integration decisions related to the Electronic Health Record. She often utilizes her nursing background to use real life clinical examples and reminds us of the main focus of decisions - the care and safety of the patient.
But her value as a team member and her personality as a caring nurse go well beyond her role as an IA. Recently, our Engagement Leader was hospitalized at the client site as a result of an emergent health issue. Clara not only quickly relieved the EL of her duties, but went back to the hotel, packed up the EL's belongings, checked her out of the hotel then stayed with her at the hospital overnight until she was certain that the EL had stabilized and had other support.
To me, Clara personifies the qualities of a Daisy Nurse. I am proud to call her a colleague.
