This nurse went above and beyond providing patient care and support. The veteran presented for an RN appointment with a walker that was not functional, and the veteran struggled to use it. This nurse took the veteran in a wheelchair to prosthetics for a same-day appointment. After finding out a provider order was needed, this nurse found a provider to place the prosthetics order so that the veteran could have her walker fixed and not miss the prosthetics walk-in appointment. This nurse used her personal break time between appointments to ensure her veteran received the care and treatment she needed. This nurse is always going above and beyond for Veterans.
