For someone to walk into a hospital room and my daughter immediately light up is something to be remembered. Clarissa had so much patience dealing with my daughter when she was sick and scared. She made sure to break things down and really explain things before she did them to make sure she really understood and wasn’t as scared. My daughter even colored her a picture and said, “I want to give this to my favorite nurse.” Clarissa always walked in with a bubbly smile under her mask (you could just tell) and would always make sure to joke around or do whatever she had to make my daughter comfortable during her visit. Now as we are talking about discharge, she doesn’t want to leave. What 4-year-old doesn’t want to leave a hospital? I am so thankful we had the opportunity to have her as a nurse. She’s even decided she wants to be a nurse when she grows up!
