On her day off, Clarize decided to come in and watch the college graduation of a patient’s family member at the patient’s request. This simple act helped make this patient’s morning and truly defines selflessness. To anybody else, watching the graduation of a family member might seem like a waste of time but to Clarize it was an opportunity to improve someone’s day.

Clarize went above and beyond not only did she provide my mom with excellent nursing care, she showed compassion and kindness. She asked and arranged for the chaplain to visit my mom. She also did a wonderful thing and came in on Saturday to help my mom use her iPad to watch the live stream of my son’s 8 a.m. college graduation. She sat with her, cheered and applauded. It made her day to have her here to help her and keep her company. She is truly an angel on earth and we are so very grateful.

The patient asked Clarize to come in to watch her grandson graduate despite Saturday being her day off, as promised she came in to sit next to the patient to watch her grandson on his big day. Clarize went above and beyond for her patient.
