Clark Bascom, ADN, RN

Clark is an even-keeled, level-headed, fair, engaged, and clinically sound charge nurse. He is outstanding during pediatric surgery recovery days as small children take an instant liking and comfort from him. Clark diffuses heated situations in the unit on a regular basis and directs the concerns through escalation as appropriate. During the critical PACU staffing shortage, Clark was never flustered but said “one patient and one day at a time”; he managed to keep the timbre of the unit cohesive and light. He builds bridges among units across the hospital. Patients love his music and the quiet confidence he exudes.
