During my last hospital visit my husband was visiting me and became very agitated because he did not understand my diagnosis. Claudia pulled up a chair, held his hands and began to calmly talk with him about my illness, expected goals, outcomes and the faith to overcome my illness. I was amazed that as my nurse she was giving my husband as much attention which in turn was healing me.

Later that day I was reflecting on the conversation she had with him and recalled another moment she had spent with me during my morning ambulation. I was talking about how much I appreciated her skills and time we shared together when she stopped, gave me a hug and told me she loved me. Her personality, and moreover her healing touch and kind words is one of the many reasons I make EMRMC my hospital of choice.
