Claudia Smith 2024, RN

My mom, who is 81 years old, was admitted in August after falling at her assisted living facility. She had surgery for a hip fracture. My mom had difficulty waking up from surgery. Claudia Smith was instrumental in recognizing something wasn’t right and immediately called the rapid response team. Within minutes, a CT scan was done, followed by an EEG, where it was discovered that mom was in status epilepticus and acute renal failure. I credit Claudia for her quick thinking that ultimately saved my mom’s life. And she continued to check on us during the week when she wasn’t even assigned to my mom’s room! We can’t thank her enough for all she did for us!
