My recovery was made so much better by knowing she was someone I could trust and someone who made me feel seen and understood.
Nomination #1:
I can see why this young lady already has so many DAISY pins on her. She went out of her way to please me by helping me by checking for addresses and phone numbers I needed online. I had so much going on in my life at this time, and she stepped in to help me through it all.
Nomination #2:
Corissa was our postpartum nurse for the birth of our 3rd baby girl. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. She answered all my questions and was happy to educate me or share resources with me. She also was my nurse when I was readmitted a day later from postpartum complications, and the relief that came over me to be under her care again was indescribable. She checked in on me and even took great care to ask about my baby’s well-being even though she was not a patient at that time. My recovery was made so much better by knowing she was someone I could trust and someone who made me feel seen and understood. We have never been treated more respectfully by hospital staff, and I have nothing but good to say about our experience here. A lot of that was thanks to Clorissa, and her setting the bar so high for excellence in patient care. I was not just a patient to her; she really cared about me as a person. Forever thankful for our experience.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE! Anyone that was a part of my daughter’s team was great. I need to give a huge thank you to Clorissa. The time, care, and love you have is a blessing. Clorissa, this is truly your calling! Everything you helped with- teaching and showing my daughter. I knew when I was away that my daughter and grandbaby had someone like you helping and checking in on them. Yes, it is part of the job; I got it, but with you it felt different. Thank you again for taking the blessing you have and passing it with care. There are rockstars on this floor, and keep up the many blessings you give! You saved my daughter, and Hugs to all!

Clorissa was extremely helpful. I can tell she enjoys this job and was helpful at answering all my questions and concerns, and even all of those questions were from my mom, dad, grandma, or me. She was also helpful with breastfeeding education or just education in general. We also got along great, which is important in this job. I appreciate that nursing can be a thankless, hard job. This DAISY Award is especially important, and Clorissa definitely deserves it. Clorissa went above and beyond taking care of us after the birth of our daughter.
