Cody frequently floats to the Emergency Department. Many times, out of turn. Cody always comes down with a positive and compassionate attitude. Floating is often times seen as a negative, however, you would never get this vibe from Cody.
He recently floated to the ED and here is what his ED peers had to say:
"Cody is the best, comes down, jumps right in to take excellent care of our patients."
"Cody is amazing, he can handle any patient in the department and is a wealth of knowledge."
One physician stated, "I love having Cody in the ED, he raises the bar related to the quality of care provided. He is excellent."
On rounds, a patient and family had this to say about Cody, "No one wants to come to the Emergency Department. We were stressed beyond belief, however, when we met Cody our stress level decreased to virtually zero. We were triaged quickly and taken back to a room. Cody met us in the room with a smile. He explained in detail the ED process and what we could expect. This is helpful because we had no clue what to expect. He sat down when taking our information, made us feel important and cared for. He took time when we know he had no extra time. It was a busy night in the ED, however, from Cody's care, you could never have guessed it. He does the little things that make a difference, like warm blankets, extra pillows, ice chips, all with a smile that is contagious. All of us were impressed and we will always come back to St Mary's knowing that caregivers like Cody are there."
