June 2024 Honoree
Col John D Earles, RN
COL John Earles's leadership at Brooke Army Medical Center from 04 June 2022 to 17 July 2024 has significantly contributed to the success of the inpatient nursing mission.
As a healthcare executive managing over 450 nursing team personnel, COL Earles expertly balanced the healthcare delivery mission with the Air Force’s readiness and real-world mission requirements. His efforts led to the successful execution of all aspects of BAMC’s inpatient mission. His leadership allowed for collaboration and partnership between multi-disciplinary and Army and Air Force teams.
Extending his influence beyond his assigned unit and daily mission, COL Earles created human capital capacity within the inpatient squadron and applied it to the commander’s number one priority of supporting the perioperative team. His effort led to a marked decrease in surgical set case counts while increasing overall surgical quality.
