Cole was D’s nurse on W1 when we found out that D’s mitral valve needed to be repaired. Cole empathized with D as he himself had gone through a similar surgery himself was able to relate to D on a personal level. To have a nurse who was so professional and personal is exactly what D needed to feel at ease. D found it helpful to talk with someone who had gone through it and to know what to expect after surgery and at home. Cole spent a lot of time sitting down to talk with us, not just about the medical things D was going through, but also was asking questions about D… what did he do for work, hobbies, what D enjoys. Cole genuinely cared for D’s whole being. Cole was also incredibly caring to me (D’s Sig. Other) and made sure I was ok, had a place to stay, and made sure I was taking care of myself. Cole, you are top-notch, and I would trust you to take care of any of my family members/friends.
