,
RN
ICU
Decatur Memorial Hospital
I told Colease that G always had a radio on and in less than 10 minutes, she returned to the room with an old transistor radio and set it up near his head.
My brother had emergency surgery and was placed on life support in ICU. One of the first nurses I talked with was Colease. She gave me a thorough, detailed report on G. The report was technical but then she explained in Layman's language. G was near death a couple of times. Colease was sure I knew what was going on by quick phone calls. Being an hour away from the hospital, that was so appreciated!

G was eventually weaned off the ventilator and then he was transported to a Rehab Hospital. Colease was supportive and helped make transport an easy process.
Colease is a DAISY Nurse for her professionalism and personal caring ways. You can tell she loves her job and her patients.
Note: This is Colease's 2nd DAISY Award!
