Coleen is truly one of God’s angels. During one of the most painful and vulnerable times of my life, Coleen was a constant light. Every time she entered my room, she smiled. Not a rushed or forced smile, but one that immediately brought comfort. We laughed together, shared stories, and in those moments, she helped me forget, if only briefly, the relentless pain I was experiencing. 

There is one specific moment that will stay with me forever. I looked up at Coleen with tears in my eyes from the pain, and I saw tears in her eyes too. She felt my misery without me having to say a word. In that instant, I felt truly seen, heard, and understood. That kind of connection cannot be taught - it comes from a genuine, compassionate heart.

Many nurses have excellent clinical skills, but true compassion is not a learned skill. It is a calling. Coleen embodies that calling in every way. She cared not just for my physical needs, but for my spirit as well.

Thank you, Colleen, for being my strength when I couldn’t be strong, for your kindness, your empathy, and your genuine heart. You made one of my lowest moments brighter, and I will always be grateful for the impact you had on me.
