Colin Ward 2, RN

Colin was my son's nurse on the adolescent unit. My son was experiencing psychosis, in addition to his nutrition needs, and did not trust anyone. Each time my son had repetitive questions about his care plan, Colin took the time to hear him out and provide a caring response. My son kept trying to negotiate his care and Colin was able to assure my son as best as possible throughout the process.

Unfortunately, my son's psychosis eventually led to restraints, during which time, Colin had to endure awful treatment from my son. I cannot imagine continuing to show kindness and professionalism in such an environment. Behavioral Health skills are truly an undervalued gift!
