Colleen takes the time to introduce herself and explains to the patient what needs to be done and why. She works with the patients to come up with a game plan together. A patient recently wrote that Colleen went out of her way to watch a baby so they could get much-needed sleep. Colleen responds to patient needs in a timely manner and listens to patient concerns. Her patient also described her as the embodiment of what it means to be a great nurse and leader, and the reason their experience was so good.
