I can't even count the times Colleen has gone above and beyond for me. Every single shift, Colleen would sit and help me understand exactly what was happening and why. She advocated for me to be seen again by my doctors, who had already rounded as she picked up on critical status changes in my body. She is one of the most compassionate nurses I have ever met. She held my hand, hugged me, and even prayed with me when things were really scary and I almost didn't make it. She made me feel seen, heard, and human. I felt incredibly safe and protected in her care. She is a phenomenal nurse and human being. My outlook and progress are directly connected to Colleen. She got me through the tough 8 days of my stay, and I will never, ever forget her.
