Colleen Ruddy, BSN, RN

Recently, Colleen encountered a veteran while in her resource role, putting in an IV. Through chatting with the patient, she discovered he had fallen on hard times and did not have proper access to medication or care outside of his home, and was not utilizing many veteran benefits he was entitled to. Unfortunately, the patient later ended up in the ICU, where Colleen continued to check in with him, and she helped him connect with people who could get him set up with his VA benefits once he leaves. She is the best!
