When we first met colleen on the 10th floor back in Feb, she seemed ultra professional, and a little standoffish. Well, that has changed as we slowly got to know each other and witnessed her care for our daughter J. Colleen is an excellent nurse and is so hardworking and efficient. Her personality has bonded with J and our family. And it is truly a match made in heaven to have her positivity, humor, and connectedness to J and her world. It makes us all exhale when we see that she will be our nurse or at least in close proximity to the floor. This may sound off, but as a tennis player, she even understands how J loves and craves the scent of a can of tennis balls. She makes that happen for J and even throws in some juggling talent to wow us and lift our spirits. Humor gets you through some of the toughest days during a long hospital stay. Colleen has the innate ability to read the room and read her patient's mood. She applies what is needed for the day so that she is treating the whole child. Our dogs love her, too. Our dogs are excellent judges of character, and they love Colleen.
