She actually did absolutely everything that she needed to do to help. She is an angel to me. Our family was coming together to say goodbye, and today we don’t have to.
Yesterday was very scary. Mom felt like she was dying. She was drowning. The day nurse came in and saw me crying, and I rarely cry. She asked if I needed help with anything. I said yes, she is dying and she isn’t ready yet. She actually listened, and she said give me a minute. And then a whole lot of activity happened. A doctor came and said she needed to be moved to step up. I didn’t understand that but that is a step up from ICU. A flurry of activity happened, doctors, nurses, pulmonary specialists, and a phlebotomist. All came. Did all the tests and poked and prodded her and in minutes she was being moved. They stopped her IV and gave her Lasix. And literally minutes later she was peeing and getting the fluids out of her lungs. I called all my siblings with mom on FaceTime and they said their goodbyes. We were ready for her to die. Today literally 24 hours later, mom is eating, no oxygen, no IV, no catheter.

Jetta listened, took her time with me to hear me, and Mom was taken care of finally after 6 days. She actually did absolutely everything that she needed to do to help. She is an angel to me. Our family was coming together to say goodbye, and today we don’t have to. Mom is her old self. A little bit weak but she’s loving her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Thank you, Jetta! None of us were ready to let go just yet.
