Several months ago, my uncle was a patient here. He has been an addict for as long as I can remember. I have watched drugs destroy his life, leaving him a completely broken and hopeless soul.
When he was here as a patient, Connie was his nurse. I am happy to say that nearly a year later, my uncle is clean from drugs and alcohol and rebuilding his life. He told me he owes it all to Connie. He said a conversation she had with him opened his heart and mind and left him with hope and strength to be discharged and start anew.
Sometimes one is busy and it's hard to take the extra time. In this situation, Connie's extra time and efforts towards my uncle may have just saved his life. One person can make a difference and heart is a beautiful thing to have as a nurse. Thanks for your heart and giving him the extra time, Connie.
