September 2022 Honoree
Connie Allen, RN
During my mom’s 5-day stay she had a number of good nurses caring for her. By far, Connie was the best of them all. Despite caring for a large roster of patients, she treated each one of them superbly. In my mom’s case, she was aware of her tremendous pain from a pelvis break, and, more attuned than others, was astute in staying on top of her pain securing and providing timely and proper meds. She also cared for her nourishment, working to make her meal prep conducive to digestion, as well as providing items Mom would consume. Throughout, Connie’s demeanor was an ideal combination of friendliness, empathy, and professionalism. She’s quite a credit to your organization, and though our Mom passed away in another facility, my family gives thanks for the service Connie provided for our Mom while she was with Memorial.
Thank you, Connie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
