I was recently a patient at Medina Regional Hospital. First, I would like to acknowledge all the nurses, CNAs, and staff who work on the second floor! If I could, I would nominate all of them for their outstanding care! However, I nominate Ms. Connie Boehme.

Connie noticed my blood pressure had been elevated five previous days while I was hospitalized. No other nurses alerted my physician, but Connie did! She even took the time to check my blood pressure manually to ensure her readings were accurate with the machines used. I have never had any issues or a history of high blood pressure, which naturally concerned me. My physician, Dr. R, immediately subscribed medication. I was originally hospitalized for an abscess that was surgically removed that required wound care. Nurse Boehme took the extra time to assess my wound needs with such gentle care. I am so grateful to Nurse Boehme for her display of deep compassion and concern for me! This DAISY Award is for her awesome skills and dedication to me and her patients!
