My experience with Connie was brief but very special and memorable. Connie was my ER nurse when I came to Collierville ER for severe pain in the abdomen. I told her that my suspicions were highly predictable that I was experiencing a diverticulitis attack. Connie was very attentive and compassionate. I could immediately tell she loved her job and never once displayed any impatience or lack of caring and concern.
After the CT scan confirmed I had diverticulitis, she told me she has cared for many patients with this condition and how she knew the recovery and treatment was very slow and difficult. I pressed the red "call nurse" button one time during my stay in the ER and she came to the room quickly. She made sure I got to and from the adjoining bathroom safely.
She administered the pain medication through my IV very slowly and methodically, making sure I was not receiving it too quickly and I was responding well physically. She went over my discharge information thoroughly. Connie was the ultimate professional. I was impressed with her and the entire staff at Collierville. I was treated with respect and courtesy throughout.
