Connie was called in during the middle of the night when I was first admitted to the hospital. Connie was very informative and very kind in how she took care of me. But the special care had only just begun. The next night when she came back to work, I was still in labor. Connie again was there to take care of me, but this time, I was very scared. Connie was right beside me every step of the way with what has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I had an emergency c-section, and Connie took me, prepped me, and then even took care of me again in recovery. She was so amazingly comforting at all times to me during my stay in Labor & Delivery. Even after I was released from her care, Connie saw me in the halls of the Mother-Baby Unit and still treated me like I was somebody special. She embodies every attribute of a DAISY nurse. Very kind, compassionate, professional, and treated me like I was a member of her family. I will always remember Connie for making a scary time in my life peaceful and reassuring. What an example of perfect nursing for North Fulton Hospital.

Connie Raad is the true definition of a patient advocate. Connie always goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients clearly understand their plan of care and alters the plan based on patient safety. Her kind and compassionate care is not only reflected in her direct patient contact but also with her fellow employees. Connie is a leader that sets the perfect example for others on a daily basis.
