November 2024 Honoree
Contrina Scott, RN
My mother was admitted to the ER after a fall. She was in extreme pain from previous compression fractures and recent fall resulting in pelvic fracture and fracture of T-12. She also has Myodysplastic syndrome (blood cancer). From the first night after being admitted, Nurse Contrina (the best nurse ever) gingerly cared for my mom. She was always joyful and attentive to every need she had. She listened and attended every time we needed her. My mother could not wait until she arrived at work. Contrina made my mother laugh and reminisce on the old days. My mom always lit up when she came into the room. Such a gift from God. She knew her medical information well, and it showed in each move she made. My mother felt confident transferring with her from bed to toilet and trusted her every move. We decided to be discharged from the hospital with hospice. We felt like the Lord had his hand in the entire process. But please give this nurse the highest of the highest. The things that go unseen are seen, and she deserves it all.
Thank you, Contrina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
