WOW! Cora is an amazing nurse. Orange Coast Memorial ER is lucky to have her. I was just lucky to have her in charge of my care.
It is a busy Monday evening here at the ER. The waits are long and people are irritable at me. I am in the worst pain and I have stage 4 Endometriosis. The ER doctor assigned a full work up and to me it put the fear in me. Luckily Cora was able to walk me through every step. I am a very hard IV stick and she got it in on the first try. I was afraid of a vaginal ultrasound and she told the techs to be gentle. She was really there for me. When I got out of the Ultrasound, she was waiting for me just to make sure I was okay afterwards. And when I was not okay she let the doctor know asap and made sure I got the attention I needed. I found out Cora was just my stand-in nurse. I can't believe she did all that for me. Above and beyond WOW! She made a horrible time bearable and better.
