Corazon Lourdes Dulay, RN
It is difficult to explain why this nurse so deserves the DAISY Award. As a nurse myself, I recognize true excellence, and she embodies it in every way.
Following a traumatic motor vehicle accident that turned my life upside down, she did everything she could to comfort me. She listened to my fears, responded with compassion and understanding, and knew exactly how to care for me both physically and emotionally. Even something as simple as sitting with me and talking helped lower my anxiety and brought me a sense of peace.
With no family able to visit, she became like family to me, providing not only outstanding nursing care but also the emotional and spiritual support I desperately needed. She gave me a small wooden cross to hold during my hemodialysis treatments, which became a tremendous source of comfort. She also brought me a prayer card and prayed for my healing, knowing my faith was important to me.
Her kindness, empathy, and genuine compassion touched every aspect of my recovery. She addressed my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in a way I will never forget. I have never experienced care that exceeded expectations the way hers did, and I will always be grateful. She truly deserves this award and my deepest appreciation.
