Corazon Tinana, RN

Cora is an asset to the Labor-Delivery unit. Her kind, gentle, compassionate personality makes her well-liked by patients and colleagues. I would have Cora care for my loved one without hesitation. Recently Cora helped in identifying a newborn with cleft palate, she did so while helping the nurses on our mother-baby unit with breastfeeding assistance. Cora anticipates when patient interventions are necessary while educating and reassuring her patients. Cora’s calm demeanor can neutralize the most chaotic of situations, always making patient care and patient safety a top priority. She makes it well known that anyone can come to her for assistance or if they need a question answered. She supports and guides new nurses and takes them under her wing. She has a wealth of knowledge and shares this knowledge with nurses, midwives, residents, and Physicians. She is patient with novice nurses and works collaboratively with experienced nurses.
