She clearly knows what she is doing on the patient front and leads each person who walks into the room with ease – you can tell Corey makes the team actually feel like a team.
My dad has been at SCH for 5 days at this point. He is on a ventilator and is having unexplained seizures. At this point, I have spoken to probably 50 different people at this hospital. On the second day of trying to get him an MRI, while sedated, Corey walked into the room and immediately spoke to me, saying “Today is just going to be a good day, because I want it to be.” I laughed; and of course, said, “I can only hope.” Corey explained the plan and started the process of prepping my dad for transport. She clearly knows what she is doing on the patient front and leads each person who walks into the room with ease – you can tell Corey makes the team actually feel like a team. Her gentle demeanor with handling my dad was very appreciated, and her lighthearted attitude was more than appreciated. For the first time, I feel confident that things are just going to happen. As Corey pushed the bed with the team into the elevator, they were all saying “pivot” from FRIENDS. Honestly, to hear her confidence, see the teams’ smiles, and still keep everyone focused, you can see why Corey is the team leader.
