A patient had been on the unit for several days with very few visitors or phone calls. He was starting to become depressed. On this particular day, it was the patient's birthday. Cori coordinated for a birthday cake and steak dinner to be delivered to the patient. They also had the entire staff enter the patient's room to sing happy birthday. The patient's spirits were lifted over Cori's "gift". I think Cori exhibits compassion, always providing exemplary care and always taking time to go above and beyond.
