Corie alerted me to a patient she had just received by EMS yesterday. EMS had reported a negative BEFAST x2. The patient clearly had dysphasia dysarthria, left facial droop, and left diminished hand grip. Unknow last well. We called stroke alert level 2. Workup showed right MCA infarcts (acute). I think Corie did an excellent job with this patient. She stayed 2 hours over her night shift to help out the AM team. She did not let her work fatigue interfere with her care of the patient.
