Our mother was a critically ill patient for 2 weeks in the Marshall ICU. Her health was a roller coaster, we never knew what to expect. Seeing our mother in this condition was frightening to us as we watched her struggle to live. Through it all, Corina was there; she gave us the warmest feeling helping us understand all of mom’s changes in her condition and she was patient while helping us understand. We looked forward to seeing Corina when we knew she would be caring for mom that night. Corina became like family to us and she was very supportive of the hope we had for my mom to pull through. In every encounter we had with Corina, her knowledge, passion, and skills were evident. Corina’s warm feeling of reassurance and support left a huge impression on us. She stood out as a nurse willing and able to go beyond the normal call of duty. We will never forget the support she gave. We are beyond thankful.
