I have been a patient of Baptist Medical Center off and on since 2003. I am a heart transplant recipient. I have had many nurses who have provided excellent care for me over the years. Corrine Belt, RN, has been one of those nurses. Corrine is an excellent nurse. She goes above and beyond to provide care for her patients. Corrine is honest, thorough, efficient and caring. She has always been straightforward with me even when the things she had to do or say were not always what I wanted her to do or say. Corrine has kept my wellbeing and best interest in mind. Corrine does her best to keep me proactive in my own care. She provides encouragement when I need it.
There have been occasions when I would get depressed; Corrine would take time out of her very busy day to listen to what was bothering me. She listens because she is concerned for me, not because she is being paid to listen to me. She will explain things so that I can understand them. Corrine provides the teaching when there are things I don’t quite understand. She is never too busy to give her patients the care we need and deserve. I have seen Corrine stay late just because one of her patients was having a bad day. I feel that I am a very blessed person to have had the opportunity to have Corrine Belt care for me. I truly believe God places people in certain places and I feel Baptist Health is very fortunate to have Corrine as one of their employees.
