I would like to nominate RN Corrine Donato in Labor &Delivery regarding my recent admission. Corrine absolutely saved my and my daughter's life. I was 36w3days and came in thinking I was possibly developing a UTI. The pressure and pain were concerning. Turns out my uterus was rupturing. I was admitted around 4 pm and she was delivered via emergency c-section at 7:39pm. Everything started happening really fast when Corrine realized I was having contractions and my daughter's heart rate was dropping. Instead of dismissing what was going on, she ordered an ultrasound which showed my uterus tearing and issues with my amniotic fluid. I hoped to see her before I was discharged to thank her for saving our lives and taking extra steps to make sure we were ok. Please, if anyone at the hospital reads this that is responsible for recognizing amazing nurses, please give Corrine recognition for her professional, kind, and proactive steps. She’s not just a nurse, she’s an angel.
