Cory R Ford, RN

Today, I was able to care for a young patient who had expired. To my surprise, I saw a lot of similarities between the patient and me. This affected me more than I realized. Cory was the shift supervisor and saw that I needed to step away and take a minute to collect myself. He stepped up and took over for me. He didn't make me feel like a burden and even called the chaplain; I so appreciated that. Cory strives to make sure all staff and patients are well taken care of. Today, Cory helped to remind me that even as a nurse, my feelings and emotions matter. I'm honored to work with such a compassionate nurse who leads with grace.
