Tida was the most amazing OR nurse. She does not normally work in the main hospital, but I am so thankful she was there the day of my surgery. She was very positive and comforting as I was very nervous before my surgery. She was kind and inclusive of my husband as well. We got to talking after Tida saw in my chart that I was a NICU nurse. She told me she had experienced the NICU with her own children. We talked through her journey and experiences. It was one of the most special moments I have ever had as a nurse. I can tell that Tida treats every one of her patients with the utmost compassion, care, and kindness. She is timely, truthful, and extremely helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and stood by me as they put me to sleep for surgery. During surgery, she had the option to text my husband, but she made the effort to call him every time. He said he was so thankful to hear a voice instead of getting a text message.

Tida is one of the most deserving nurses for this award. I can tell from what she went through with her own children in the NICU, to working in adult Cardiac ICU during COVID and now taking care of all kinds of patients in the OR she is nothing short of extraordinary. From one nurse (who was your patient) to another, thank you for serving your patients and community so well, thank you for taking such good care of me and my family during a semi-scary time and lastly thank you for having the kindest heart!
