Courtney Ballek has truly been our guiding light since the first day of my wife's chemo. As our nurse during our initial visit, she listened with a warmth that made us feel like family, patiently sharing her knowledge with unwavering kindness. Throughout subsequent visits, Courtney's consistent presence provided a comforting reassurance. When we found ourselves in the back room on the third visit, a bit disoriented and scared, her timely appearance was like a beacon of solace. Despite the lack of familiar faces, Courtney's arrival lifted the weight from our shoulders, bringing a smile to my wife's face and a sense of peace to me as her husband. Courtney's unwavering support continued throughout the rest of the treatment. In situations like these, where emotions run high, bedside manner becomes paramount. Having experienced it firsthand, I appreciate how Courtney extends these essential virtues to her patients, recognizing them not as numbers but as cherished individuals – friends, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Courtney's understanding and commitment make her more than a nurse -- she has been our everything.
