I wanted to reach out about the experience my husband, newborn, and I received during our stay. I was fortunate to have Courtney as my dayshift nurse throughout my entire stay. My baby required staying in the nursery throughout the night her first day of life. Courtney made an effort to wheel my entire bed to the nursery window so I could see my baby. She was very forthcoming with any information from the beginning to the end, and as a nurse, that was one of the things I will never forget. I know in our profession, sometimes it is better to leave our patients with just enough information to keep the situation calm or for another pertinent reason. But I was comforted knowing exactly what to expect in each scenario, good or bad. I truly believe she could not be comparable to any other nurse. I had never met Courtney prior to my delivery, but I know who I want around and will recommend to those who choose to deliver at EMRMC. Thank you for employing an awesome staff. We need more bedside nurses who have compassion and knowledge to create lasting memories for our patients.
