April 2026 Honoree
Courtney Connolly, RN
My wife was admitted with postpartum preeclampsia at 5 am. We moved from the ER to WNC, and Courtney was our nurse. She was incredible!
Having to take my wife and 4-day-old daughter was scary. She not only helped my wife throughout this ordeal, but she also went above and beyond, making sure I felt reassured that everything was going to be okay. Having to take care of my newborn more or less on my own for the first time, I made it a point to ask Courtney for help and to learn how best to care for my baby, who technically wasn't an admitted patient.
She is an amazing nurse and a remarkable human could not have wished or prayed for a greater person to be taking care of my new family.
