Courtney Cotter, RN

I cannot even begin to adequately describe the quality of care that my dad received from Courtney Cotter. On her shift, she continually cared for him unlike anyone else. The tenderness and compassion she showed to my dad was the same level that one would show a family member. I watched her tenderly and meticulously clean him, clean his teeth and tongue frequently, advocate for him, go above and beyond, consulting with doctors and constantly checking with us to see if she could offer any comfort for the family. I am blown away by this level of compassionate care. She cared for him for three days in the ICU and then asked if she had permission to visit him on her day off. When I came into the room the next day, there was my dad's handprint in ink in a frame and a kind note of comfort for us. This is above and beyond anything I have ever seen before, and I want her to know how deeply grateful we are and how much she is loved. She doesn’t just aid in the physical healing of a patient but also the emotional and spiritual healing of the family in their darkest time.
