My wife was in the ICU and a patient of Courtney’s. She took care of her multiple nights in a row and not only comforted her and tended to her but also to our family. She was so genuinely nice and intelligent. She explained everything she was doing before she did it and answered every single question we had. She was always within reach whenever we needed something. She deserves this award not only for those reasons listed above but for the compassion and manner she held with my wife.

My wife’s hair was a mess after being in the hospital for over a month with covid complications and it was so matted. Courtney brought supplies from home and sat and brushed and brushed her hair until she got the tangles out and then braided it to keep it tamed. She sang to her while she did this. That’s a true example of going above and beyond.
