This was the 3rd time in just as many weeks that I have been hospitalized on the 8th floor. I am the primary caregiver and my family stepped up and took care of the kids for us, but they were unable to visit very often. Courtney had such a positive and an infectious laugh that her positivity was contagious. It helped lift my spirits and not be as homesick. Whenever I had a question about a test or medication she went out of her way to find the answer for me and took the time to explain it to make sure I completely understood it. She knew how much my back was hurting and she recommended a heating pad. She called my doctor and he ordered a heating pad and it helped so much. Overall, I feel like Courtney went way above and beyond what was required of her and it made my stay much more comfortable. I was very impressed with her professionalism and wealth of knowledge. She showed great patience and had a kind bedside manner. I feel very blessed to have had her as my nurse for multiple days during my stay.
