Upon hearing that her adult patient (Yes…an adult patient on the pediatric floor) had her home broken into and her child's piggy bank stolen, Courtney sprang into action. This mother was heartbroken, not only because the money had been taken from her child but also the piggy bank itself. Courtney went to our gift shop and purchased a new replacement bank and asked for help to fill it up from her fellow nursing staff with spare change. When she gave the bank filled with dollars and coins to the mother, she cried tears of joy and thankfulness.
