...I brought my wife into the Emergency Center weak and unable to sit up. She has Alzheimer's and would not take her medications. I was told after testing that Alzheimer's is not a sickness but it is a disease and they could not admit her to the hospital and we were going to have to take her home.
When we were admitting her to the E.R. Courtney Hamilton knew just how to talk to her and how to get her to do what she needed. Courtney has been a caregiver to her Grandmother who had Alzheimer's.
When they told us that we were going to have to take her home in this condition, Courtney got on the phone on her own time. She called the Social Worker and called our Doctor. Due to my wife's weakness and dehydration our Doctor admitted her for observation and ordered an I.V. and was at a hospital checking on her in less than an hour.
Courtney was an angel to my wife and I thank you for having wonderful employees like Courtney Hamilton in your Emergency Center.
