My husband has dementia and came in with a kidney stone and impacted bowel. He had an emergency procedure Tuesday night to put a stent in to release urine and antibiotics for a severe UTI. Wednesday and Thursday were 2 different nurses. Courtney worked Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She was a caring partner and team member with us. She has an easy, delicate approach to my husband. She listened to my input and worked with me to adjust his medication to best treat his paranoia. She explained things very well and included me in the discussions. She gently spoke to me about consent for palliative care and explained the reasons for this. She is to be commended for her knowledge and approach to patients and their families. She is a caring and outstanding nurse.
