Courtney was nominated by multiple colleagues who called her “deserving of this award” and an “asset to our team.” Courtney was lauded for her professionalism, empathy, willingness to help others, expert skill set, contagious enthusiasm, sense of humor, and committed work ethic. Many described how she arrives early for her shifts and never leaves before all tasks are completed and patients’ needs are tended to, often in partnership with the individual’s loved ones. An invaluable resource, her care has led to positive outcomes throughout the unit, including with patients that were not hers. We are so lucky to have nurses like Courtney with us who are not only dedicated to caring for our patients, but also for her fellow team members.
