April 2026 Honoree
Courtney Malinski, RN, BSN
Courtney was my day-shift nurse on the day I delivered my baby. I requested a “good” nurse, and then she was put in charge of me. Not only was she super on top of her stuff, but she treated me as her #1 priority.
That morning, I really started to go downhill with my health and my baby's. She was in my room every second and catering to our needs. Once I got super sick, she contacted my doctor, and a C-section was decided. She got me mentally and physically ready for it. She talked me through it and listened to my concerns. She was the most mature and educated nurse I have had.
I also want to acknowledge her leadership skills. Courtney is very headstrong and communicates very well. She is not afraid to take charge while being respectful to other doctors and co-workers. I would be extremely shocked if I don’t see her in a leadership position in the future. She was made for it!
