Courtney was my granddaughter's nurse in the ICU. I wasn't there all night, but from what I did see Courtney was wonderful. She welcomed us to the ICU and treated us like we were her family. Her bedside manner was great and she was so kind and gentle. She made sure my granddaughter's pain was controlled by medication and brushed out her hair to help get the tangles out and relax her. She has a pure heart and a true passion to be a nurse.

My daughter was a patient of Courtney's in the ICU. I have honestly never met a nurse like her before. She has a gentle touch and a passion for nursing that shows through her actions. My daughter had a Pressure Monitor inserted into her head yesterday morning and was brought to the ICU later that day. Courtney was our night nurse that evening. I feel what makes Courtney stand out, is that she shows compassion for others' situations. My daughter was completely scared about coming into the ICU, and Courtney made that experience less traumatic for her. She brushed my daughter's hair several hours after the procedure because it was irritating my daughter badly. She was so gentle and kind. We didn't even have to ask her to brush it, she volunteered to do it on her own. Not only did Courtney brush her hair once, but she did it twice to help my daughter relax and fall asleep. Her bedside manner was like no other that I have seen before. She takes her time. When she was drawing blood on my daughter for labs, Courtney kept asking her if she was okay, and that if it was too painful then she would stop and find someone else. When all the other nurses were occupied, Courtney took the initiative to find another way to get the blood. Courtney's response time was fantastic as well. When my daughter would push the call button, Courtney would always try to be in the room within three minutes if she wasn't with another patient. Overall our experience with Courtney was beyond perfect!

Courtney is a wonderful nurse. She made me feel so much more relaxed while here in the ICU. I have an Intracranial Pressure Monitor (ICP) inserted into my brain and she made me feel less anxious about staying on the ICU floor. What made her special is that she goes beyond her roles as a nurse. I had been complaining of my hair being tangled together from all the dry blood and she brushed out my hair for me and made sure I was more comfortable after that. She never complained about coming into my room to help me go to the bathroom or bringing me drinks when I asked. Her bedside manner is phenomenal. She didn't just rush to get her job done and get out of the room, she actually stood and talked with me about stuff. She's so gentle. I have never had a nurse as amazing as her.
