Courtney O'Connor was a phenomenal nurse in the PICU the night I got out of my surgery! She was very quick to come to my room when I needed something or when my machines beeped. She has an amazing personality and is very warm and welcoming. Whenever she came into my room she always explained what she was going to do very clearly, why it needed to be done, and how it would help.
She spent a lot of time with me in my room and was always sure to not wake me if I was sleeping while she checked up on me. She was very easy to relate to and would talk to me about how I want to be a nurse and work in a hospital, and our mutual love of hiking. All of the nurses and doctors that have been with me the past few days are amazing, but Courtney definitely stands out as being an exceptional nurse. She is a perfect example of the kind of nurse I want to be one day!
