I was transferred to ICU because of low sodium levels. The nurse on duty was named Courtney Quinn. She was extremely competent. I had been violently ill alone at home for days. She was very kind as well. She was my main nurse throughout my stay at Ft. Meade. Not only did she provide excellent medical care, but she was also instrumental in my future progress. At the time, the P.A.s I had talked to had basically ignored my complaints about my nose/excessive phlegm discharge daily and the extreme pain in my back and knee. I believe she advocated for me with the attending physician. I fully believe that because of her, the doctor made efforts to address these issues. She gave me a lot of hope for my recovery and was extremely helpful psychologically as well. I have had some terrible trauma in my life. Courtney talked to me and encouraged me to address these issues as well with PTSD psychologists.

I know for a fact that she is an extremely professional and utterly competent RN at Ft. Meade. She also possesses a unique personality and exudes a caring attitude to her patients. She doesn’t say a lot but what she says is thoughtful and very on point. I have met many nurses in my life. She, without a doubt, has made the most impact on my health, both mentally and physically. Words won't work to say thank you to her.
